NL All-Star Starters

One of my favorite times of the year is approaching.  Here comes the Allstar game.  Rosters are out minus the final vote players.  Here they are

STARTERS:

Catcher-Yadier Molina, St. Louis Cardinals…..First Base-Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals…..Second Base-Martin Prado, Atlanta Braves…..Third Base-David Wright, New York Mets…..Outfield-Ryan Braun, Milwaukee Brewers…Andre Ethier, Los Angeles Dodgers…Jason Heyward, Atlanta Braves

Martin Prado is starting the game in place of the injured Chase Utley.  Utley so far(in nearly 80 less At-Bats) has more homeruns, RBI’s, and a higher OBP.  He also has more errors.  Martin Prado believe it or not has a higher slugging percentage and batting average.  He also has comitted less errors than Utley.  If I was in the Manager, Charlie Manuel’s,  shoes, I would start Utley.  Although I like Prado better.  (ALOT better)  Prado is a much better situational hitter.  I believe he has the HIGHEST batting average in the majors with runners in scoring position.  Also, his(Prado’s) versatility will be more helpful, as he can play First, second, and third, than a pure second baseman such as Utley.
